the bees and such - more shots

the bee appears out of nowhere, buzzing about the flowers, wiggles around, gets what it wants, then buzzes away to another flower.... he's prepared in a sense, instead of with the micro, he uses a 70mm zoom, just nice distance and detailed enough to catch the action. finally got a couple of decent shots..... still feels that it's not easy. a more powderful zoom would be better.

the iCones
the morning walk-about in neighborhood garden is good exercise for the legs and for the eyes, and the hands. yes, i have shaky hands..... but the trick i think to get sharp pictures is to have QUICK hand-eye co-ordination. the moment the view finder presents a focused picture, the hand must act - release the shutter..... it shakes but what's important is your shutter speed(1/180) should take care of the shake, but with a very thin DOF, you better be quick.... DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE PERFECT STABLE, FOCUSED VIEW.

the metallic fly - looks fierce head-on....

has caught this bee/fly/moth insect a few times on camera..... still could not figure out what it is.

snail - not one but three. climbing on the fence with blue berry shrubs.

BLUE BERRY? yap..... looks like them, berries, ok.

ants again - this time on ixora flower buds chewing up the tender pulp. but no aphids around..... where are these ant-farmers?

here they are! but where are the ants?

estate walkabout - without invitation

droplets like jewels - the banana leaf collected a lot of these little pearls..... the question is how to shoot them to get the sparkling effect. cannot shoot perpendicularly on the droplets, must at an angle

erection is near, so the mp's and their gangs are doing a lot of walk-abouts and talk and shake people's hands, to solicit their votes.

after the rain, marathon man also did a walk-about, in his estate public garden. and he was not canvasing for anything, rather shooting away at his candidates..... without their invitations.

here are the ones that's being shot...

b - the most difficult to shoot, constantly buzzing around, landing on the flower, doing its dance even when collecting pollens.... and before you could go nearer and set the focus, off it goes buzzing again...

fly - found this one on the neighbor's lupin flower. just manage to take shot and it flew away and settled on the leaf for another few shots

another fly - this one is tiny, sitting on the pandan leaf, crawling about. the first bug greeting good morning

another fly on the leaf

wasp - a big surprise when turn around and saw this yel-blackie buzzing among the ixora, like the bee, it moved constantly, though not as fast

ants - at first, thot it was un-interesting, then when taken in macro, they are different animals. they were sucking the sap from the ixora buds

moth - spotted this f117 on the leafs when something flew across the eye-sight, took a couple of shots, and it vertically took of like an arrow

long, green spider - there was something moving in the wind, dangling on a thread. it climbed to a palm tree leaflet by withdrawing the silky thread it made earlier. once it reached the leaflet, it completely blended itself into the green surface of the leaflet
