raising its head when the flash exploded
tank-top head with two shining fangs
6-eye vision had the best of the surroundings
8 long legs for springing high and far
supple abdomen stored ample silky thread

chameleon - the shy photoyee

stays quiet, motionless in the bush
alert as a nite owl
at the slightest sound of the footsteps
darts to the other branch
drops to the grounds
and out of harm's way

wip - flowers

the flowers of
yellow-mellow
prostrating, facing upwards and side-way
rain comes and goes
ants hurry by
out comes melons worth all the hazy-choking days

the next day - flowers withered

morning - another good day

the rain came last night, taking away much of the haze, and freshening the morning air abundantly.
