flame of the forest - kaput

she asked, "do you notice something different outside?"

looking outside the window, he said, "hmmm.... different? ya... it feel different, much brighter..... hmmm.. oh.... i see..... the flame of forest next to the backyard is no more there!"

"ya... they chopped it down yesterday."

"what? i like the tree, giving shade and moderate the heat of the day."

it bloomed like a few weeks ago. and now no more tree, and no more flowers.
