story teller

take circle line mrt from marymount to bartley - jog from how sun dr then lorong how sun, 100 yr fig tree in a temple. small road passing thru a bonsai place - a lot of old and BIG bonsai trees, a middle-age elegant lady wlecome marathon man. next, a nuersery, YI nursery a lot of cheap plants. payar lebar, jln lokam, tai keng ln, gym area, what a nice outdoor gym. taikeng terrace, payar lebar cresent, taikeng place,jln korban, thrift drive - a very meticulate housing estate beside a patch of jungle, so much isolated form the busy thoruoughfare of payar lebar.
coke zero again in a kopitiam before entering lim kim boo road, then payar lebar, jln bunga rampai, joo seng rd. saw a ghurka lady, grukha men are dark in complexion, but their ladies a re fair. there's a grukha contingent in joo seng road, living a hdb-like flats surrounded with thick walls.

"i'm a story teller, telling my whole life, telling my whole being... if you care to listen.

i was born like you, i had my childhood, maybe diff from you, i grew and learnt, and learnt to be myself, to learnt to fit myself into others, then learnt to be more of myself.... along all the ups and downs..... if you care to listen...

i was a cheerful boy, seeking for attention, running chores for the elders, being afraid not be accepted into the group. i then learnt to be smart to get into higher school for education, passing exams when they mattered..... and here i'm still running chores for other for a living..... i'm a story teller, if you care to listen. my story is simple and i just need a minute to tell it......"

marathon man said, "you have told your story, but that's not any story, just your resume.... sorry i don't have a job for you."

he said, " i don't need a job. i just need an ear. to let me finish my story."

"sorry, i also have my story. if you don't mind i will tell you mine."

"oh.... another story teller. what a day!"

"the problem is too many story tellers and no listeners."

"why not you listen to my story, then i listen to yours?"

"no time to do that. i got to go. perhaps next time."

"next time? well, there'll be no story from me. i may be a legend by then."
