s tak 50mm 1.4 - stop down

when our paths cross - onesided persue

this morning
you bump into me
you bumble away
darting from flower to flower
never care to meet up
face to face

lasting less than a minute
our paths
cross
though i
have tried to bump into you
more often that not

only
hoping
for the next encounter

bees - where are they from?

somewhere found a 52mm sunblitz macro magnifying glass, fitted it on the 18-55mm DAL. revisited the violet bushes, where bees were busy collecting pollen. with the aid of the built-in flash and auto-focus, took some clear pictures of these wonderful creatures, doing their duties for mother nature. but it was quite a job to track these little humming machines, they would not stop in a flower for any time longer than a few second.... by then you have to push your gear within 5-7 inches infront of the subject, press the focus button, and once in focus, no thinking allow, go for teh shoot straight away....

he was wondering, was there a beehive around, never saw them fly back home. they are not socialists, for sure...

big fly - small fly

something's moving on the bud of the ixora, and it's a fly, a very small fly..... there on another stalk, a big fly.

the big fly says to the small fly, "where are you from?"

"kukamula, the pigmy fly nation."

"why are you here?"

"you big flies eat too much, shit too much, occupying big carbon prints.... and destroying the environment in no time. i come here to prevent you from doing that."

"you come here to destroy us?"

"if that's the only way to prevent you."

"hmmm... then you are our enemies. why our people welcome our enemies into our territory?"

"well, your people profess democracy and fly-right....."

"that cannot happen, if they continue to do that, i'm going to teach them a lesson."

"what lesson?"

"i'm going to inflict maximum damage unto them. as they say, the ones who welcome your enemies are worse than your enemies!"

d'leedon - very boring

after taking his late lunch in farrer road hawker center, he was looking for vantage point to take some pictures of the d'leedon project which was formerly where farrer court was located, which was sold enbloc in june 2007 to capital land for a humongous sum of $1,338 million.

each unit owner got at least $2mil. and surely some owners can retire after the sale.

he met an uncle.... sitting beside the farrer court hawker center.

he approached him, "uncle can go up to this block to take picture?"

"what picture?"

"the d'leedon construction site."

"hmmm. i think so."

"you live here?"

"ya... i bot a house in this block after i enbloc my farrer court flat."

"are you retired now?"

"ya.... but..."

"but what?"

"retirement very boring lah...."
