the murdoch's put up a very good act.
the strategy is simple: as long as they insisted they have no knowledge of the phone hacking, they could not faulted for anything. just keep on apologizing, and use their wealth to patch up whatever needs to be patched..... payment for out-of-court settlements, for victim compensations, for employees' litigation costs, retrenchment cost, separation costs, cost to pay the police, the politicians....even cost of hacking into pieces anyone in the way......
money talks, murdoch walks!
