he thot:
if he became mentally out of tune, wld he still be conscious of what he's doing?
is metal illness like anger? like sadness, like hilariousness, a kind of emotion, whereby the brain's neurons got into certain state but, the mind is still conscious of what it's actions and thots. even in these states, the mind's consciousness is already corrupted, by emotion - violence could arise from anger, suicide could arise from sadness, and unrestrained arrogance could arise from hilariousness... the brains knows it, but it rationalize all these anomalies into part of the norms of human psyche. so, did the japanese know what they were doing when they invaded other nations? surely, they did. but why they still insist they were doing the right thing? because they couldn't help to do it, when they were under the control of their emotion.
are they in full control of their psyche?
or mental illness is more like a brain under the influence of drugs, alcohol? when the part of the control of the mind is inhibited. does the soul still in charge? under influnece, the control center of the brain is swicthed off, subconsciousness takes over.
is there such a thing as souls?
