ktm railway from tanjung pagar to woodlands shut down on 1 jul 2011. and they allowed people to walk on the rail and people did.

he walked from ghim moh to bukit timah.

"where's this place?" a lady asked the man.

"greenleaf."

"oh, somewhere in holland road."

"yap. where did you come from?"

"bukit timah station."

"where are you going?"

ricoh bot pentax is a big news for him - a pentaxian by choice.

there's being rumors about pentax closing out in the market for as long as he has had his first pentax dslr(since last year). and now it sort of becomes reality. the canikon sellers are going to have field day on this telling prospective customers:
"what? pentax? closed down already lah..... buy c...."

what can ricoh do with pentax?

if they are serious, a lot could be done. because the market share of pentax in the dslr market is small(around 1%), there huge opportunity for it to gain market share if they can do things right. they MUST put in effort to develop more lenses, and one or two camera bodies to fill in gap of FF camera and one that's along the line of the k.... series, K3, and throw up huge promotional events at these launches to make newbies aware of the shining performances of the pentax brand, especially, it's ergo-friendly form factor on top of all its others state-of-the-arts features.

pentax are the underdog, no doubt - hopefully not under a lame dog.

the club egm - the courtroom

he came to check out the new club house(just soft-launch open on 29 jun 2011), not so much to attend the egm.

the meeting went past midnite, with a lot of barbs flying towards the president of the club and his committee and also the management.....

there's one lawyer, an old one, obviously too old, trying to rattle of, and he did. but he was thumped down by the president who himself is a senior council.

the voting of the 4 motions was completed at past 10pm, with the members heated but well-controlled tones. the president gave them credit for all the gentlemanly debates that's not the norm of the club.

before he could sit back and take a breather for the second half of the meeting(questions raised by the members in various channels - internet, newspaper, members' talks...), the true color of the club's tradition showed up - arrows shot from everywhere towards the people sitting behind the podium. the president had to pulled out all rabbits from his lawyer hat to quench the fire that's burning out of control if not for his experience in the court - yep, it's like in the courtroom, where sharp and cynical remarks are passed around to and fro, where the two sides insisting vehemently that the truth is in their side, and questioning every move of the other side as illegitimate. and the president dealt with all the accusations and bitter attacks on him an dhi steam, very professionally.

at the end of the day - when the meeting ended, it was already past 1am, the supper porridge was well served for the empty stomachs......

anniversary - God bless

today is mother's one year death anniversary. called brother up.

he said, according to chinese calender, mother's anniversary was last week, and he already did what supposed to do.

one year - may God bless mother's soul.....
