change - fear

There's the inert urge for change, but there's also an equally fear factor for it.

when you are the change initiator, you want it for the better. when you are the change target, you fear for the unknown - when you do not belong to the inner circle of the change initiator.

the most important thing of any organization is boss-subordinate rapport. so when change happens, the subordinates do not suspect the motive of the change. many times, office politics get the upper hand when changes are introduced. instead of making changes for the sake of the company's betterment, they are made for the sake of the individual's political capital to raise/firm-up his position.
