pres erection - tan-lee

the prediction today is no matter what happens, singapore will have a president TAN as its next president.

for one thing, there's a new qualification criterion for this year's presidential race, ie the candidate must be having his/her surname TAN. in fact rumors have it that mr george yeo did not join the presidential race because he did not fit this rule.

we have the insurance man, tan kin lian, who took on the role of going against the gahmen after probably sacked frm his ntuc income post, hence cutting off his source of good income. this time he has mr goh meng seng, the former nsp sec gen as his advisor.

then we have dr TAN, a former pap mp, who did he due in voicing comments on pap proposed policies, but too mildly. he is a golf kaki of a group of semicon guys. and his motive of joining the race could be the result of losing a bet in a golf game.

then the supremo dr Tony TAN put his name in the race also. why? the gahmen has to have some heavy-weight this time around, not some NATHAN-type of character who is too happy to the papa's lackey with millions collected for this purpose.

who would win?

the political power are under the LEE family. the wayang one has to be the TAN clan.

and the real power is TAN-LEE..... (waiting for you).

indang farm - good buy?

a 3-hec flat and cultivated farm selling for p300/sqm. compared with the next piece of similar farm for p400, looked cheaper.

but, a catch - there's squatters on the farm.

dealing with them would not be cheap!

indang, cavite - the ideal farm

The green paddie waves has it charm that's undescribable. It soothes the soul. The sitau creepers twine up the raffel, the just harvested cucumber field, the santul tree, the 20-hec flat land that's planted with different crops, made it an ideal kind of farm that he has been thinking of owning all this while.

But it comes with a higher price which he does not think he would want to pay for it.

amadeo - coffee farm?

Coffee is a cash crop in amadeo, and amadeo is famous for it.
The 1.3 hec farm next to the barabgay road has quite a few of this plant, and other plants like banana, guyabano, avocado, mango and even mahogany, all mixed up in a haphazard layoutm together with the unattended undergrowth, the farm is like a small jungle.

quezon city, sm mall - jose rizal, the conscious hero

The conscious hero, that's what historians said about jose rizal. This month of this year is his 150th birth anniversary. Filipinos celebrate this occasion all over the country.

Are there any unconscious heroes? IE when someone in history put up all his effort to fight for something, and did not realise what he did would make him someone respectable in history? For all great people, success is not incidental, only failure is. Meaning any success has to be accompanied by a set of preconditioned efforts put in by the pre-hero, and a certain character that would take him to where he would be. Now, if he failed after all the effort, then history was not kind to him. Just like a painter, he could be an unknown painter all his lifetime in spite of his talent and effort, but became famous after he passed away, people recognised his effort, at whichever time history chooses. Or he may be just unknown thru-out history, at which case he's just an unsung hero. if he's conscious of his effort, and did not achieve what he was driven to achieve, he could very well blame that on not hitting it on the right time and right crowd. but if someone who was mediocre and by all his luck, he was meagre effort did hit the jackpot and he became famous, then he could be termed as an unconscious hero - a hero not by his choice but by, others'.

yes - many people want to be in that same situation.

so after all, whatever effort one puts in, one consciously expects a return.

trip to Quezon city - typhoon season

It's a wet day, a wet week in the philippines. typhoon Egay brot rain last week and now Falcon brings more rain. Many places flooded and many people evacuated from the flooded area and quite a number of lives were lost due to the flood. They said, averagely there were 30 typhoons each year, for this year until now only 6 came by. Expect more in the coming months of the typhoon season.

The government announced the schools would be closed for today in many places, incl manila.

They went to quezon city. He was left in the mall while they went for their beauty courses. He spent 6 hrs in the malls, SM mall and Landmark mall.

They came to pick him up at 5pm. They reached home at 6.30pm, after going thru some not-so-serious traffic jams and areas with shallow flood water.

- In the philippines they don't have summer in jun/jul - they hv typhoon season.
and march-april is their summer.
