where else but upper thomson road again. this time went further up and spent two hours to churned out something not as spectacular as expected, but the joy was there when all the focus was put onto the job of getting a few good shots.
the big spider sitting pretty in its web, was a challenge to shoot, as you can only see its stomach side. and it getting very dark, so not enough light to do the focus. have to step up to f8 - but then it's overexposed with the built-in flash. solution - cover half the flash with the index finger of the left arm.
took many shots before got sharp ones..... light too dim to focus.
the bush was full of these little shrimp-like grasshopper... everywhere you looked, they were there
little orange bug, did have much features to show, quite a challenge to get to it when the whole creature appeared waxy under dim light
thot easy to shoot this shiny pest? think again.... expose under flash must be controlled to a very precise extend, else, it turned into a reflecting mirror
