this morning, heavy rain again. last week orchard road was flooded. this time, upper thomson, jalan boon lay, bugis, jalan kurau, mc pherson road.....
last year the nea minister said, it was a freak weather event when bukit timah was flood. within a week, there's two of this 'freaky' events.... what's the minister gonna to say now after saying that it's not acceptable....
the gahmen will say, "we cannot guarantee flood-free singapore, but we will work hard on it. in fact, a lot of things been done already. now, it's your part to show that you can help to prevent flood too." game over.
the logic is simple :
1. nobody can guarantee anything absolute 100% - that's statistic, stupid. it doesn't need a pm or any million-dollar minister to repeat the obvious.b
2. but the gahmen will look into it - that sounds right. but since it already say, don't expect much from point 1, so what do you,as tax payers expect to happen?
3. also fyi, the minister is not sleeping, he's is fully on top of the situation, and in fact alot of work has been done under his ministry.
4. now, you people MUST help. meaning, if another flood happens, don't blame the gahmen, but yourselves.
same thing happens when mas selamat escaped, same thing happened when mrt security being bridged. same thing happened when sars broke out.....
in fact that's the std operandi for any mishaps that's primarily due the fault of the 'you know who'...
- by this 'no guarantee' clause somewhere in their manifesto, everything is FINE!
