ikoi in the miramma hotel is a jap restaurant specialised in buffet. reasonably priced at $33 for weekend dinners, attracts full house almost every day and night.
last friday, they arrived the restaurant at 7.30pm. got the counter seats next to the cashier, by the name helen.
the service was good. the food was fresh, though the toro sashimi was a bit not so.
once the order was placed, the food was served within minutes, even for subsequent orders of the expensive sashimi. that's not the normal jap buffet dinner you'ld expect. especially when the business was so good.
later they moved to the 'tatami' table, with a big hole for the legs.
the sake was smoothingly cold that masked its potency; a whopping 50% alcohol by volume. it could knock some causal drinker out in minutes if he gulps it down as if he is drinking beer.
it was a very good birth-day celebration.
