somehow - how?

the art of photography is 50% hard work and 50% talent.

and to marathon man, it has to be 99% hard work, meaning, just keep shooting, and cross the fingers, hoping that out of 100 shoots, one turns out to be a winner.

like today did an outing in pandan river, he took many shots of the river, and the happenings and scenes of its banks. and they turned out to be dudes except for a handful. and he was lucky that these couple turned out to be acceptable, somehow. the agonising fact was he did not actually know why they turned out to be ok. just fluke shots, as they said.

they also said, just keep on doing what you are doing, you will get better and better as time progresses... somehow you would get the knack of it.... somehow, how?

how do you know whether what to shoot and whether the shoot has a high percentage of turn out to be good? all the shots he took today that turned out to be good, were just ordinary shots, not meant to be any spectacular shots from the angle of the subject, the lightings, the composition, the effects.... none of these special thought entered his mind when he took those shoots. they were just out-of-routine kind of shots.... and wow, they turned out to be the winners. how?
