cameron highlands - the tea country

next day, they headed for cameron highlands. stopped over in a vegi farm. was curious to see the "cameron apple", and buah cinta both of which are gm version of the tomato.

along the way, they made stops at a couple of roadside markets. and detoured into the BOH tea plantation. there they saw the equivalent of the rice terrace of banauae.

it was a sea of tea-plots, covering up the whole mountain, from the valley, the slopes to the top. you wonder how they pluck the tea leaves that from the plants that grow on the 70deg-steep slopes.

got a good view from the view station, and bought some souvenirs and did the tea factory guided tour.

after lunch in brinchang, they headed towards tanah rata. and continued their journey to taiping after 3pm.
