all speakers did decent jobs. low thia kiang the star speaker arrived at 8.30pm and went to the podium 3 times, first in english then teochew, then mandarin.
chen show mao also had a field night to himself.
when sylvia stepped onto the podium, there were shouts, "ah lian, love you....", "ah lian.... add oil".... as if fans screaming at their favorite idol.
the speakers spoke on a big theme of having oppo voices in the parliament to check the pap, not as to oppose for the sake of being in the opposition. that's clear and loud.
and bravo to the candidates who are brave enough to ditch the pap to join the opps although they would be more than qualified to be potential ministers according to the pap standard.
the nite ended at 10pm as planned.
