the 24-km nite march started at 8.30pm last nite from changi jetty and arrived at the marina floating stage this morning at 5am. the bmt graduation ceremony started at 8am.
the award presentation, the parade, the speech by Cedric foo, and the pledge and ended with the throwing of berets, at 10am.
parents and grand-parents, gal friends, friends, relatives came to witness of this proud moment of the recruits, making it thru the 9-week arduous training.
is NS a waste of the precious 2 years of a man's life when he's at his peak - supposed to pursue his study or take up a place in the university of society.
it's a good training - but maybe one year would be just the right period of time.
