delta hockey pitch - nsp rally

nicole seah was not seen at the nsp's rally in delta hockey pitch. that was disappointing. but then again, nsp is not a single-woman party depending on the popularity of nicole, the youngest ever and pretty candidate as what sm goh ridiculed his opponents in the marine parade constituency.

mr goh meng seng spoke, though with sense, lacking in gusto which made the audience doze off. other speakers were good, esp steve chia, who had to a large extent got the knack of lifting up the atmopshere of the moment by asking a lot of rhetorical questions, that the audience participated in high spirit by giving the single-sillable, emphatic answers. mr yip, the radin mas msc candidate spoke mandarin and cantonese which is a predominant dialect in the bukit merah area, did a good job.

nsp is mindful of getting good people into their rank and putting up a slate of very qualified candidates, with a lot of entrepreneurs, with a couple of government scholars, and most with university degrees. and they paid special emphasis in all their candidates' resumes in the introduction of the speakers.

issues brot out were pertinent to the ground's sentiment and quite logical in some of their arguments - like the 2-year preschool education shld be included into the government's agenda, exempting essenatial goods and services from gst....

though the crowd was far less than the 15000 of wp's last-nite rally, it was nevertheless an eye-opener to get to know a party with good people and a good national agenda that the pap is trying hard to brush aside....
