yellow-vented bulbul - open mouth, food comes

he was sitting in the patio, appreciating the flowers.

then he saw a bird standing on the one of the support of the wooden sofa in the patio. with a worm between its beaks, twisting its head, and tweeting, looking at him anxiously, as if telling him something. then he noticed the bird's line of sight was actually on the small tree next to where he sat.

he stood up and investigated the small tree and realised that there a nest in it and there were two small chicks raising their necks up high, with their mouths gaping wide, wavering for food, with big eyes still closed.

the bird was obviously their parent, and bringing back food for its little ones.

after a minute or so, seeing that he was still sitting next to the tree, it took flight and stopped at the top of the umbrella. minute later it jumped over to the roof ridge, then it changed place again, to the clothe hanger, then back to the edge of the sofa. he moved away further from the tree, and slightly out of its sight....

seeing that the 'menace' was gone, it flew into the tree for the nest.... and after feeding the chicks, sat on the edge of the nest for a couple of minutes....
