first thing aquino has to consider - foreigners' lives are involved, not that local lives are less valuable, but whenever foreign interests are involved, international relationships will be called into the pictures, and as a responsible gahmen, aquino must take the responsibility to get his people to do all they can to avoid bloodshed.

also, the hostage taker was not terrorist, just some one disgruntled at his dismisal from the force, so accede to his demands at least for that moment to get him release the hostages. then it would be easier to decide how to handle the consequences later.

if aquino cannot make such simple deductions..... may GOD bless him.
