serious discussion

woke up at 5am, wanted to see the sunrise. Asked the guard and the van driver of the hotel. The driver said, "Go pristine beach." Took a tricycle for 15 peso and after about 10 minute of ride in the kampung road, arrived at the beach. To him it was nothing like a beach with fine white sand, it's a beach, alright, but it's swampy, with a couple of sheds and a wide area of mangrove growth to the left. The sun was nowhere to be seen nor the presence of tell-tale sign of a sunrise with colorful clouds. Furthermore, there's no way to get a tricycle to return to hotel in this really pristine corner.so he decided to give the prestine breach a pass and took the same tricycle to go back to the hotel.

But he changed his mind, instead he asked the driver to send him to the Bay walk for an addition of 10 peso. After about 15 minutes' ride, he was at the bay walk. As expected its was beside the sea, and there's a promenade about a kilometer. And lo and behold, a big patch of colorful clouds was there to his right side when he alighted.

The sky scene changed so fast that within seconds, the sun's rays already pierced thru the tree-line in the horizon and throwing its full force over the bay. More and more people came. It's getting very lively on the sunday morning.

And that was the first and only sunrise he witnessed in Palawan, on this trip.....

quetsion : why the guard and driver told him to go pristine beach for sunrise and not baywalk?

it's a case of 'lost in translation' syndrome.... he told them he wanted to watch sunrise. they were puzzled, what's sunrise. he illustrated it with going to the beach to watch the sunrise.... so they thot he wanted to go beach!
