Puerto princesa Underground river - must vote for it to be one of the new 7th wonders of nature. The tour guide urged the tourists on the journey which lasted 2 hours from pp to sabang, then a 20minute boat ride to the river entrance under st paul mountain. After registration, while waiting for their turn, they took pictures.
Each bangka could take 5 to 8 people, excl the boatman. From the minute the boatman opened his mouth, laughters could be heard from the passengers every so frequently from the jokes and humor of this trained funny bone, who, apart from the
spectacular formations of the scenery of the river made the
45-minute journey a very pleasant and delightful one.

It was a whole-day affair which they booked thru their hotel front desk, costing 1500 peso incl lunch. they left at 8am and reached the hotel at 6pm, after
an hour for lunch and another for a small dip in the water beside the ferry terminal and a stopover each at the
Buenavista and Salvacion view decks overlooking the alungan and honda bay respectively.

The guide and the driver were very cheerful and reasonably helpful. The guide emphasised a lot the fact that palawan was an eco island, with each feb, a mangrove planting season and each june a tree planting season. And using solar power in areas remote from the town, as an energy source.

palawan - come and visit the underground river, the 7.8km, 1.5 km navigable for tourists, the 8th wonder of the world.
