San Jose public market - the gal and her doll

stalls

full

durians ......................................bananas

Palawan, an island dedicated to the hero. Like a hero, marathon man had a victorious nite.

After arriving at Puerto Princesa airport at 4.15pm, taking a short ride to the Liberty Park Pension hotel, they took 2 tricycles to the San Jose public market, 20 minutes away from the hotel. It looked like a make-shift venue, with a few rows of attap stalls, selling mostly fruits and vegetables, a few stalls selling furniture.

After touring the place, they decided to buy a durian for 100peso and brot it back to the hotel.

It was just so-so, big seed, just sort-of sweet but no 'umph' taste. the best durian is still from malaysia, the mao-san-wang, the s21.....
........

At the market, he saw a little gal standing on the bench-top on which her mother sold bananas, corn . There was a straw mat on the bench-top, and a doll lying on the edge....

Was that where she and her doll and her mother put up for the nights?
